The international academic workshop, Housing Affordability and Demographic Dynamics, will be held at Seoul National University on May 25–26, 2026.
This workshop has been organised to explore the relationship between housing affordability and demographic change, with discussions covering a wide range of topics including housing tenure, marriage and fertility, housing choices across the life course, demographic transition, housing policy, and real estate market issues.
On May 25, the international academic workshop will take place at Woosuk Economy Hall at Seoul National University, featuring presentations and discussions under the themes of Housing Affordability, Tenure, and Fertility, Housing and Life Course Choices, and Policies and Demographic Dynamics. On May 26, sessions will continue at Hoam Faculty House with a session on Macro Impact on Global Demographic Transition, followed by a policy roundtable and public institution sessions addressing demographic change, housing, and real estate market issues in Korea.
The workshop will bring together leading scholars and experts in housing, urban studies, finance, and public policy from Korea and abroad, including Seoul National University community are warmly invited to participate.
