The Seoul National University Institute for Future Strategy will host a seminar under the theme “Policy Research on Developing Regional Research-Focused Universities and Strategic Studies Departments.”
This seminar aims to explore ways to strengthen cooperation between regional industrial ecosystems and universities, drawing on case studies from the United Kingdom and the United States to examine successful regional industry–university collaboration models. It will also cover a range of topics, including strategies for cultivating regional research-based universities and strategic studies programs, as well as regional AI innovation strategies suited to the era of digital transformation and artificial intelligence. The seminar will be moderated by Professor Jeansoo Rhee of the Graduate School of Public Administration at Seoul National University. It will bring together experts to share perspectives on fostering mutually beneficial development between regions and universities, while enhancing national strategic capabilities.
