Qualitative Analysis Team’s 12-Country Report on Major Geopolitical States
“Poland’s Economic Security”
The Economic Security Cluster of the Institute for Future Strategy at Seoul National University organised a research team composed of former and current officials from Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to evaluate and compile reports on the economic security strategies of twelve key partner countries. The project aims to analyse each nation’s strengths and weaknesses, as well as its strategic connections with Korea.
This report provides a qualitative assessment of Poland’s economic security within the context of Korea–Poland relations. It examines Poland’s strengths and vulnerabilities while identifying the opportunities and risks that Poland presents for Korea’s broader economic and strategic engagement.
Korea and Poland maintain a mutually beneficial partnership, which has recently expanded into key sectors such as the defence industry and nuclear power plant construction. Poland also serves as a crucial bridge between Korea and the European Union, positioning itself as an essential partner for Korea in addressing shared economic security challenges and fostering long-term cooperation within Europe.
