Invitation to the SNU Grand Quest Open Forum

The SNU Institute for Future Strategy is pleased to invite you to the SNU Grand Quest Open Forum, which will be held on: September 6 (Wed) – 8 (Fri), and September 13 (Wed) – 15 (Fri), 2023

The Grand Quest initiative was launched with the goal of identifying challenging questions that can open up the future of science and technology. These are questions that remain unsolved and carry a high risk of failure, yet, if answered, they are expected to transform the paradigm of their respective fields.

SNU’s “Grand Quest” serves as a bold challenge for Korea’s next generation of scientists and innovators, while also offering important milestones for industries striving to anticipate and adapt to the future. Across 10 thematic areas, we have identified such questions and will use this Open Forum to share their significance, the difficulties in solving them, and to discuss broad directions for potential solutions.

This forum will be held offline, and pre-registration is encouraged for smooth event management and participation tracking. On-site registration will also be available.

Special note: The first 20 undergraduate and graduate students to pre-register for each session will receive a café gift card.
